Gave two stars because I liked the vibe of the restaurant. It's in a hidden little street in SF. Not only did it take a long time to get our water but no one came by for more than 15 minutes to take our order. I had to go inside and call someone. Our waitress forgot we were already seated outside and asked me if I needed to be seated.The meal itself was very mediocre. We had the calamari, which was randomly salty. The paella was overpriced for the size and the taste was underwhelming.Our waitress didn't come by once during our meal and we waited another 15 minutes after finishing our meal before I decided to just get up again to go inside and ask for the check.Won't. Be. Returning.

Spanish but not that Spanish. It was good - the tapas were pretty good and aligned with what you could find in a decent restaurant in Spain, but the Paella was nowhere near the level you can get in Spain. The desserts were OK and the atmosphere pretty relaxed. Enjoyable in groups, but if you are in for a real spanish experience you might be able to find better, although I am not sure if in the area.

Food was delicious and service was decent. Not sure why it was empty during lunch, but I think it's worth it.

We had a big group, something this restaurant is not used to, but they did their best to accommodate us. Other than that, service was great. As we literally ordered half of the items on their long menu. Took over an hour to get our food, but the food was good overall. Paellas are dam good.

This place never fails to deliver. They have great food for fair prices, there no long wait even when they are busy.

Good Spanish/Catalan food. Been a while since I've had paella and I thought it was quite good here.

Great place. Awesome service. It was my first time there and honestly I would 100% recommend and go back 1000 times. Me and my husband were in Barcelona during the summer, and I thought for our anniversary to go to a Spanish restaurant and remember those summer nights. We had fried calamari (best ones I have ever tried), chistorras which was a first time and a great choice, patatas bravas, which actually were not the best part of it, and a paella that we literally clean up the plate. Great sangría that got to us quickly. And to top it off some churros that I kid you not, it literally melted in our mouths. Cool environment, and great server. We've been to other Spanish restaurant in the area and, this one is a lot better, better than places we had in Spain. A bit expensive, but so worth it. If you see it, GO IN THERE! You just have to.

Amazing place! The food is great and the staff is very friendly. We ordered tapas only but man were so surprised! Will come back for sure!

This is one of the must visit location, everything you order they make it really well,Very nice ambience.If you wants to sit out they have outside sitting, they have tables, high chair. And bar.Service is quick.quality is next level.And yes they do serve Rabit meat as well.But their warm octupus dish is next level.

The food is always fresh and tasty, staff members hands out excellent service. I really like how neat it is and vibes. Will come back again.

Came here with my family on Saturday. We had: Paella B44 (VERY GOOD). Calamari (DELICIOUS). Brandada (OKAY). Churros (OKAY). Spanish Cheese (GOOD). Crema Catalana (POOR). Irish “hot” Coffee (COLD!!!). Sangria (OKAY).In other words, it was a good experience but not excellent. I will give another shot next time... Let’s see...

Very authentic cuisine! We were just in Barcelona and B44 them nded us of our trip in so many ways.

Would definitely recommend trying this place. Awesome mood, flavorful dishes, great service. Fantastic work.

Ambience feels rather Spanish. A selection of Tapas and other dishes, service a bit slow. Quality is fine but not overly exciting. Best choices for us where the fried lambs with garlic and pastas bravas, also the chevice but we asked for only lime on it and not the regular one which also contains ketchup (!?!) in the sauce.

We had a nice tapas meal with several others. Staff was friendly, the restaurant can be a little loud (if that matters to you).

I celebrated my birthday earlier this evening in this gorgeous place. happy to tell that we passed a fabulous evening and the place was definitely one of the reasons for that fruitful evening. The stuff collaborated in a splendid way, the meals were tasty and my friends were extremely pleased. We shall absolutely visit again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

Probably the best food I have ever had in my life. The watermelon salad was to die for and one of the regulars befriended our group and made us feel very welcome!

A great place to have authentic Spanish tapas. Char the bartender is great!

The food was good but the service was really slow even though there weren't that many people when we went there. We had to go get the waitress to order and to get the receipt as well.

Always excellent with interesting variety. Some of the best mussels anywhere.

Good luck getting any service here. They are completely understaffed. Hire some more people!!

We arrived at this place for a meeting. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, we were not disappointed. the staff were so friendly and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. we highly recommend this place.

Can't remember eating better calamari. Loved all the tapas plates we ordered.

3.5 stars. The food was pretty good, but nothing overly special for the price. was recommended the brisket cannelloni and it was just ok. Brisket had not a lot of flavor and the sauce was just ok. The fried calamari was the best item. Great crunch, plenty of seasoning and not overly battered. Not my favorite but would give it a second try.

Fun time at the Denver Salesforce reception 11/19/19

Delicious with lovely ambience. On warmer nights, the sparkling lights overhead on Belden lend a special touch to your dinner. From cocktails to tapas, paella to dessert, there are many wonderful choices for you at B44.

My favorite dish here is the black squid ink paella. I haven't found another place that makes one just as good. If you are lucky when you go they will have cod cheeks on the menu. It's an app, but I recommend ordering at least 2 orders of them. The wine list is extensive and the servers are all really friendly.Tip: The owner loves motorcycles.

This might be our new spot, to step back into Spain. Located on a cute little alley that feels like the streets of Spain, not as old but still fun! Great dishes and atmosphere, tapas to share with the whole table! Sangria was pretty killer. Thanks B44

The service here is good, we wanna try squid fideua 🦑 (which is off menu) they made it for us, and it’s soooo good!! 😀👍 Recommended
